    Stopped off for a drink, so only a flying visit. The pub seems to have a very nice warm atmosphere, helped by the open fire burning in the hearth. Food smelled lovely, and plenty of people seemed to be enjoying it. Staff friendly and beer good. Toilets absolutely out of this world!

    Great hotel and especially dog friendly. Had a wonderful evening meal and very friendly staff. All in a beautiful 300 year old bar. Would recommend.

    Stayed for one night 23rd May 2017. Standard room - boiling hot and airless. Behind the scenes needs a good clean, cigarette ends outside windows, dirty tiles in bathroom, hallways grubby. Needs a spring clean
